Phoenix Autoharp Retreat, Feb. 25-28, 2025

Hello!

Here is the scoop about the 2025 Phoenix Autoharp Retreat's core tune list, found at www.thedulcimerlady.com/teaching/par/ (just in case you print this .txt).

1. The core tune list consists of eight songs and two tunes. I am banking on PARticipants knowing the melodies to all of them by ear (for years!).
   "Faded Love" may be the only new tune.  If so, listen to (and chord along with the .mp3 file.

2. How to play the songs/tunes in the core tune list on the autoharp will NOT be taught!  
   Instead, we will >jam creatively< to them via Swing Picking.  
   It is fine to sing the songs and strum their back-up chords.  With this much, you can do a lot at PAR 2025!

3. All melodies appear with only the back-up chords for accompaniment, because Swing Picking depends mostly on the back-up chords.
   
4. Slight melodic variants to any of the melodies here is fine, as long as the back-up chords land where shown on each .pdf.
   (Obviously, we all need to change the same back-up chords at the same time for harmonic agreement!)

5. Swing Picking will be based on GD and GDA diatonic autoharps outfitted with >a lock bar for each key<.
